Journal of Indonesian Oral Medicine Society (JIOMS) is the official publication of Indonesian Association of Oral Medicine Specialists or Ikatan Spesialis Penyakit Mulut Indonesia (ISPMI). The journal publishes in English three times annually containing five scientific report papers related to oral medicine and covers a wide scope of oral and maxillofacial diseases.

Publications are intended to provide Oral Medicine Specialists in Indonesia with well peer-reviewed articles and latest information in the field. Publications include high scientific quality original clinical papers, diagnostic challenge case reports and updated invited literature reviews, book reviews, letters to the editors in subjects relating to clinical practices and best practices in the field.

JIOMS welcomes authors who want to publish their research articles and contribute to oral medicine scientific development in Indonesia. All submitted manuscripts within the scope of the journal will be assessed by at least two suitably qualified referees.

Articles are published rapidly as soon as they are accepted, after passing a series of prepublication checks to assess originality, readability, author eligibility, and compliance with ethical guidelines.
Before submitting please ensure that: your work is original. The manuscript (or substantial parts of it) must not have been published previously, or be under consideration or review by another journal. Manuscripts that were previously posted on a preprint server such as ArXiv or BioRxiv are welcome.

How long will it take for my article to get published?

The article submitted needs to be peer-reviewed first and edited accordingly. But, since JIOMS publish thrice annually, it shouldn't take more than 4 months.

How much do I need to pay?

As per now, you haven't oblige to pay anything by submitting your article. In other words, IT'S FREE!

I accidentally uploaded the wrong version of my manuscript. What should I do?

Firstly, don’t panic. These things happen.

As soon as you notice that you’ve sent the wrong version, reach out to the Assistant Editor via e-mail: jioms@ispmi.or.id. They will handle the situation and update the manuscript across the publication journey.
